By the way, I was tagged by Zach and John. They’re awesome. You should follow them if you want. I mean I’m not gonna force you to, I’m just saying. You might like them. I do.
1. What is your favorite idea expressed in any media of art (whether in a book, song, play, movie, poem, ect.)?
Well, I love the quote from Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. “Everything that’s born has to die, which means our lives are like skyscrapers. The smoke rises at different speeds, but they’re all on fire, and we’re all trapped.”
2. Do you think materialistic pleasures (money, drugs, sex, alcohol, ect.) are more important than nonmaterialistic pleasures (love, compassion, friendship ect.)?
Absolutely not. Life would be dreadful if it weren’t for love and friendship. Yeah, money is important to live, but even homeless people can be happy.
3. What is the best memory from your childhood?
Some of my favorite childhood memories are really simple like wrestling with my dad, doing the exercise tape with my mom, playing in the garden and imagining this big, magical world, or going over to my aunt’s house all the time cause she lives in Colorado now and I can’t do that anymore.
4. What are the three most important things that you look for in a relationship partner?
Okay, well they absolutely have to be intelligent. I don’t like when people can’t hold a conversation because they don’t understand what’s being talked about. I really like guys with a good sense of style. And I need someone who is willing to go slow and not rush anything and will understand my anxiety problems and help me out with that pertaining to the relationship.
5. What is the most embarrassing moment you had in high school or grade school and looking back, was it really that embarrassing?
Hmm, I guess the fact that in elementary school I went up to this girl, Gracie who is now my good friend and told her that I liked her and then I pretended to faint while my friend caught me. It’s still pretty embarrassing, but funny.
6. What are your religious beliefs and how did you obtain them?
I’m an atheist. I’ve gone through many stages when it comes to religion. I was raised Catholic though my family never really went to church except on religious holidays. I went to CCD and was a year away from being confirmed when they said I would have to repeat a year because I missed to many days so my mom just took me out. Then I started questioning religion and if it was real. Then I got hardcore into it and wanted to go back to church and read the bible for a while. I actually started reading the children’s bible I had. Then I said I was agnostic, saying that there is no proof that there is a God, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t. Now I’m just pretty content on the religion is generally awful except for on occasional personal levels and I don’t believe that there are any omnipotent beings and it’s really all just for human’s sake to feel purpose.
7. Who is your best friend(s) and what qualities make them deserving of the title?
I have many people that I consider best friends, but I guess the person most deserving of this is Jen because I feel absolutely 100% comfortable in being myself around her. We have talked about so much that I don’t talk about with other people and I love her to death. She’s really such an amazing person and also one of those exceptions on how religion is good on a personal level.
8. What is you favorite thing to learn about?
Psychology, definitely. Especially abnormal psychology. I love the way the brain works and how it can manipulate a person emotionally and physically. Our brains have so much power that a lot of times we aren’t even aware of. It is really fascinating.
9. Are you amused by simple things, like a chair on wheels or cat pictures?
Oh absolutely, but I also know when to be serious. That’s important.
10. Are you super meticulous and organized or more relaxed and less organized?
It all depends. When it comes to the computer, I’m extremely organized with my documents. My bedroom on the other hand is a bit of a mess, but my dresser is organized pretty well. My desk at school never is, but the book shelf would be.
11. What is your favorite geographic land formation (lakes, plateus, moutains, plaines, ect.)?
Mountains and any flowing body of water (rivers, streams, creeks).
12. What made you make a tumblr?
My friend was talking about one of those 30-day challenges that she was gonna do on this website I had never heard of at the end of my senior year and I thought it sounded fun so I made one and the 30-day challenges were my first posts.
13. Where is one place you would love to travel and why?
Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. They just seem like amazing and beautiful places to visit.
14. Biggest life lesson learned so far?
Do what makes you happy no matter what anyone things and despite anything that might be holding you back (ie. anxiety) you just have to enjoy your life.
15. What is one thing you wish you could change about yourself?
Probably my temper. I can get really mad really quickly and over the most trivial things. It’s hurt a lot of friendships in my life.
16. Name one thing you have to do during the day to make it complete.
The only thing I can really think of is brush my teeth. I feel disgusting if I don’t brush at least once a day, even on days when I don’t shower I still need to brush them.
17. Dinner with any 5 people. Who would they be?
John Lennon, Mahatma Gandhi (chuckle), John F. Kennedy, Barack Obama, and Ellen Degeneres.
18. One person you wouldn’t be able to live without?
I hate picking favorites over my parents, but my mom. She’s been the biggest help through my life with my anxiety and homosexuality and everything else in my life. I don’t know where I’d be without her. She is the most important person in my life.
19. Your pet-peeve?
I have so many, but I hate when people half-ass their work and then expect others to pick up their slack. It pisses me off so much, but it’s also made me the favorite busser at my job so it can be a good thing.
20. Name one thing you pride yourself on.
I feel so arrogant when I say it, but my brain. I graduated in the top 5% of my class with Summa Cum Laude (with highest honor) and a GPA of 3.96, I was in NHS, and I was on the Dean’s list this past semester.
21. What is your long-term goal?
I’m not entirely sure yet. I either want to be a psychologist in a high-security psychiatric hospital, an agent of the BSU of the FBI, or a prosecutor. I don’t know which path to go though.
Alright, well that was it. Thanks guys! I’m not gonna tag anyone cause I don’t feel like coming up with questions, but answer these if you like. I always like to learn more about my followers.
